The Jack Oakie Stars Scholarship

The Canyon Theatre Guild Stars Theatre Camp is proud to be a recipient of an annual gift in support of scholarships from The Jack Oakie & Victoria Horne Oakie Charitable Foundation. Jack Oakie was a wonderful actor in many old time movies.  When he passed, his wife, Victoria Horn, started a foundation to fulfill Jack's final wishes about his estate, which was to "give it to the kids."  The Canyon Theatre Guild is able to offer these scholarships because of this superb foundation.

Jack Oakie Scholarships will be available annually to 7th through 12th grade students for the Stars Summer Theatre Camp Program at CTG. Scholarships will be awarded based upon 1) financial need 2) date received and 3) scholarship availability. Applications and essays are due the 1st week of the Camp each year (June 18, 2015 camp). Please call the CTG Box Office for more information, 661-799-2702.
